Amanda Bossard, fresh out of Anchorage High School 1992 began studying marine biology. Bossard began her professional career in the field of commercial fish worker in 1999. She began to work with the ship F/V Sunset an a65' halibut-schooner which was converted into a Salmon tender, for Murat Aritan who had been working in commercial fishing since. Bossard has been engaged to Aritan and has joined their forces in order to claim their businesses. They're both supporters of conservatism and profitable renewable seafood resource management. Otolith is a direct wholesale seafood distributor which was founded in Philadelphia in 2007, by a now-mother of two children, Bella aged 3 and Andre one year old. In 2007, Bossard, mother of two children Bella age 3 and Andre 1, and returning to Philadelphia from her native Canada opened otolith as a direct-market wholesale seafood distributor. Bossard along with Isabella as well as Andre (ages 10 and 12 respectively) return each year, beginning in July of 2016 and continue to Southeast Alaska for the summer harvest from wild salmon. For two months, Bossard and Isabella use hooks & lines to catch their desired salmon. Aritan will then sell their catch locally to processors.
